This Kantschu is made from two different coloured layers of soft calf leather and is braided from the end.
Consequently there is no joint between the braided piece and the swat, but a seamless transition. In this classic length the Kantschu is extremely good to handle. In contrast to bull whips, which make a snap due to their thinness, the swat of the Kantschu makes an unmistakeable noise like a drawn-out plop.

Someone who has experienced the peculiar, deep pain of the Kantschu, will get goose bumps just from hearing the sound.
